Welcome To The Supernatural Problem Page

LOL, so this came about because of something my mate Linda text me.  It made me laugh and I was like “It sounds like it should be on a problem page…a Supernatural one.”  She claimed we need one to air our grievances with us being too emotionally invested.

I figured if anyone came across this post while searching the web for random fangirl Supernatural pages they could join in for the laugh by posting their problems as a comment. 

To start this off I’ll put mine and Linda’s problems on here…though I guess if this is a problem page it should have an agony aunt person to reply =p

Hogsmede

So this is one of the enterances from Universal Islands of Adventure.  It’s the one that you walk through in the morning as they make you walk round the entire park to get to Harry Potter which is at the back. 

The grey skies keep in with the nice depressingly dark theme of Harry Potter don’t you think?

Hogwarts

So this is Hogwarts Castle where the main ride is.  We queued for about 90 minutes for it as you can’t get a fast pass (though you can single ride it).  It’s worth the wait!

You get to walk through the greenhouse and then once inside the walls have loads of pictures that actually look like paintings even though they’re moving.  I think I was expecting them to look like tv screens for them to be moving, so I was very impressed.  You also go through Dumbledore’s office.  Then I’m sure some ‘snow’ or something like that fell on us after Harry, Ron and Hermione spoke to us.

The ride itself was pretty cool, though I was hoping you would sit on a more broomstick shaped seat.  Beware if you’re scared of spides as Aragog and that lot are in it briefly.

We went back a different day and queued for around 90 minutes again, this time to get into Olivanders.  You go in in a group of about 30 or something and one person gets picked to play with the wands.  I think I have bragging rights here. I GOT PICKED!!  I may not have put as much enthusiasm into it as some people would of, but that’s because I was in a state of shock at being picked, embarrassed at being picked and friggen ecstatic that I got picked.  But I’m not a fan of speaking in front of large groups, especailly strangers.  I bought the wand that ‘picked’ me of course.  Hawthorn with Unicorn hair.

So we went to Universal as well as Disney.  I’d never been here before so it was all new for me.  IT. WAS. AWESOME.

They actually have that world that spins around with UNIVERSAL on it…so everyone attempts to get photos :]

They had some ok rides in normal universal, ermm…this one where you could pick the music to listen to while you went around.  That broke down just before we went on it the second time (still not sure what had gone on but I think somone was stuck in the seat or something, though they didnt look tooo fat when they passed).  There was a Shrek 4D thing which I’d actually seen before on DVD at Louise’s (minus the water being sprayed in your face etc).

I really liked the Simpsons ride – though it had replaced a back to the future one – and yea you just sit in a box and shake around but it was still cool coz I love the Simpsons :] 

The M.I.B. one where you shoot the aliens was good, I actually listened to the instructions the second time we went on and got a much better score coz I found out you keep shooting at the alien till your gun goes green then you know you’ve hit it – the first time round I think I just shot like once or twice then moved to another alien.

E.T. was quite whimsical but nice.

I nearly forgot about our favourite ride there.  I wasnt expecting much but it was so cool, we just kept going on all the time.  It was The Mummy!  I don’t know why it was so good, but it just was.  Maybe it was the fire =/  We went on quite a lot of times but I still never saw the bit with Brendan Fraiser at the begining…just the bit at the end where he says he still hasn’t had his interview.

On a different day we went to Islands of Adventure.  That’s where Harry Potter lives (but thats all for a different blog).  It’s also home to Dr. Seuss (where if you sit there too long the music becomes etched into your brain and makes you kinda numb) – The Cat in the Hat ride was pretty fun there….the rest were kinda kiddyfied so we didnt go on them. 

There’s Jurrasic Park where we went on a water ride and sat with a fat woman so that bar didnt go down far enough *typical*

Toon Town had a nice water ride that we went on just as it started to rain.  It also had loads of comic strip bubbles with sayings on so we went round talking photos under various ones.  Popeye rapids was one of the best rides there; yet another water one.  We went on when we were already wet and managed to get absoultely drenched!  It was so fun though, I think the random Spanish family we were with made it more fun.  We all just sat and laughed at each other getting soaked.  If you want a really good rapid ride then Popeye is deffinately the right one!

Of course there was the Superhero part – I just named it Marvel Land seeing as it was all Marvel stuff (which is goood coz I prefer Marvel to DC, though Marvel is now Disney not Universal).  The Hulk was my favourite rollercoaster there, I think I could happily sit on that for ever.  The Spiderman ride was pretty cool, 3D as most things seem to be there.  Erm I think the other one was Dr Doom (cant remember now), was a bit of a let down though.  It was one of those towers that drops you down a few times, but not comparing it to the Tower of Terror….the similar rides at Flamingo Land and Thorpe Park in the UK are so much better!  You do get a nice view though.

Universal got a lot of money out of me, you have to pay for the fast passes (totally worth it, especially if you get the multiuse ones).  Plus there was all the t-shirts I brought, Harry Potter, Marvel, Dr Seuss.  Plus I got lots of other crap there :]

OK so I have space.  We’ll do Seaworld next.

That was ok, we got to stroke some rays (I love rays :]), feed dolphins (yay!) and we saw the Shamu show which was ok, but the trainers dont swim with them anymore so I guess it’s a different show to what they used to do.  They had a few cool rides there, the  water one was great seeing as it was a hot day.

Erm….that’s it in my Seaworld memory lol.  We went to Aquatica waterpark on a different day.  Its part of Seaworld though.  It was soo cool!  The slides are such pretty bright colours.  One of the slides you go down and you go through a pool with the commerson dolphins.  As I had predicted – the dolphins were on the other side so I couldnt see them when I went through.  Plus you go kinda fast.  But you can go and look through a window at them so I still got to see them.  (They look like mini Orca’s but the colours are swapped).

The best thing there though was this thing we discovered while looking for the lazy river (which we found but never went on).  I can’t remember what it was called but its like the total oposite of the lazy river.  It goes so fast!  You just skid around for ever.  You can wear a life vest which lets you float a bit better with less chance of erm … drowning lol.

Busch Gardens now:  Its like just over an hour away from Orlando so we had to get a special bus from Seaworld.  I quite enjoyed Busch Gardens though I think I got burnt because you have to pay for lockers and you have to put your bags in lockers if you’re going on the roller coasters.  So my hat was locked up pretty much all day as we decided to do all the rides while our bags where locked away.

The whole place reminded me of Flamingo Land slightly.  I could imagine an advert saying “Wild Animals, Wilder Rides!”

I think I went on my first ever wooden rollercoaster.  I now understand why they are often on top ten programmes.  It was really good, though it gives you a massive headache coz your whole body kinda judders with the whole ride LOL.

The other rollercoasters were cool, there was a one with a straight drop, like Oblivion at Alton Towers.  There was a pretty good one that I forget its name but it was really noisy.  You couldnt hear anything anyone said if you walked around near it. 

The water rides were ok too.

I think the best bit though was the animal safari thing we did.  You have to pay for it obviously but it was worth it.  You get to hand feed giraffes :]

We also stroked some wallabies :]

We ended up walking back (from Seaworld, not Busch Gardens) as the queue for the i-trolley was big and we didnt want to get a taxi again.  It took like an hour and a half I think.  It would have been quicker but we took some wrong turns getting onto international drive and ended up walking around some abandoned looking office block and car park for a while till we retraced our steps and went a different way.  We made it home eventually though!  It was a good day.

So we started off (Hayley and moi that is) on a train travelling to Manchester airport.  We hung around keeping ourselves entertained with nail painting, eye-spying (I SUCK!) and random made up card games.  Somehow, despite being the first there, we ended up in the middle of the check in queue and not at the front!

The plane ride was pretty basic; at least we had seperate TVs unlike when I went to Peru.  I was too tired to attempt to watch anything I hadnt seen before … I always ended up going back to the Clash cd they had on the music section.  I think I made it through most of dodgeball, though I must have fell asleep as I woke up at one point and had missed the bit where Steve the Pirate decides not to be a pirate anymore.

Had a few hours to kill in Newark airport where we saw the Manhattan skyline from the distance.  Got on our smaller plane to Florida.  It was supposed to be overfilled though there was a spare seat next to me so Hayley moved once I woke up.  The plane was pretty much full of people who had been on in Manchester too. – There was no TV on this plane; I think the food might have been pretty crap too.

Eventually after some tedious taxi waiting we finally made it to our hotel/motel thing and eventually checked in.  I don’t even think we went for food that night, we discovered Disney chanel then crashed out asleep….and erm slept through our alarm the next morning. (oh wait, I think it had been set wrong so it didnt go off at all).  However, we still made it to the bus on time to start our Floridian adventure!

• MAGIC KINGDOM!! Of course we were going to go there first.  The ferry and everything was pretty much how I remembered it from when I last went as a weee 6 year old bairn.  It rained a bit throughout the day.  I was reminded of how child orientated the place is.  We drank so much water it was unreal.  It’s a small world was under construction so closed :[  but at least splash mountain, thunder rail road and space mountain still exist!  Oh and the really scary Alien ride has been changed into the same set up but a slightly less scary Stitch from Lilo and Stitch.  No; we did not go autograph hunting.
• On the second day we went to Hollywood Studios which I always knew and shall continue to refer to as MGM.  Despite it being probably THE wettest day of the holiday, it was a fricken awesome day!  I finally went on the Tower of Terror...I was actually really scared before the drop as I'd never gone on as a child and had no idea what to expect.  However, I loved it - we went on there like 4 times I think.  We attempted to watch the Indiana Jones stunt show but it got closed because of the lightening.  We saw the Muppets 3D show...I don't get why 3D films at the cinema aren't as 3D-ish as that is.  We attempted to make a record for going on the rockin roller coaster the most times in one day.  We managed 8 and apparently the record is like 128 (I think they must have been allowed to just sit and go around for ever).  We did get VIP treatment that helped us make 8 goes.  Some dude working on the fastpass thing was like "nice hats"  then when we were queing for single riders for RRC he was like "I recognise those hats" then he saw us again and was talking to us then met us at the end and took us some backway so we beat the queue and got straight on, then his mate let us do it again.  Then he gave us 4 fast pass tickets that could be used at any time.  Then these 2 kids who we met while running onto the RRC in the rain gave us some spare fast pass tickets coz they'd just been handed 7 by some woman who didnt seem to want them anymore.  So yea!  It was an awesome day.  We just kept queing for the front row and making amusing faces for the photo.

So I was going to do a day by day account but I feel like this is getting too long already.  So this shall just be a Disney park blog instead.

• One day we went to Typhoon Lagoon water park.  We spent most the time being told to stay away from the beaches and water while there was a threat of a lightening storm in the air.  It chucked it down.  We did manage to spend a lot of time on the lazy river though and we went on a couple of slides, like the tamer ones with the smallest chance of leaving you naked in a shallow pool =p  We managed to burn our stomachs preeety bad though.
• EPCOT was err....just EPCOT.  It was pretty much the same as when I was a kid.  There doesnt seem to be much to do there.  The fast track car thing was good though.  We went and had dinner in an English pub.  They had proper chips!  Their fish could do with a bit less batter though.  EPCOT is the land of slow moving whimsical rides.  It's great for when your feet hurt and you just want to sit on a 40 minute ride *coughEllensDreamcough*
• Animal Kingdom was cool.  It hadnt existed when I was younger.  We went twice.  The Everest ride was really good!  And the safari thing was pretty cool, got to pass lots of awesome animals like lions and cheaters.  The tough to be a bug show - OMG, so glad it didnt exist when I was younger otherwise I would have been joining in with the hoards of screaming kids.  Luckily I could just laugh most of it off, its clever how they do it.  We had a bit of a laugh on some Dinosaur ride which was just a wild mouse really; but the people we were sitting with were making me laugh.  I can't actually remember most of Animal Kingdom...we looked at animals coz thats what you do =p (can you tell I'm bored of writing this?)
• We went back to MGM too, saw the Indiana Jones show for real this time...noone proposed.  Saw the little mermaid one and the beauty and beast one that I'd seen when I was a kid.  Went back on RRC and Tower of Terror which was different this time as the light didnt come on before we droped so we didnt see the concrete wall...we just fell.  Was better :]  Oh and we went on the Star Wars thing again even though I think it was meant to be shut as it was no longer marked on our map…There was no queue for it anyway.  The fun PIXAR thing was shut though :[
• Went back to Magic Kingdom on our last day too.  Went on rides while everyone was watching parades so we could just get straight on them.  Spent a long time searching for Phineas and Ferb tshirts.  Found some eventually.  Had to go on Space Mountain twice as we couldnt rememeber going on it...I always forget that for some reason, but I think the last time we went on it it must have been a bit lighter as I could see the tracks so I do actually rememember it!
• Oh we went to Downtown Disney one night with Cate and Chris who were in our hotel and there for Star Wars convention.  The massive Disney Store kinda seemed big but not at the same time :/  Got most peoples presents there though :]  And I got myself a chip butty from some Irish chippy (OK so I had to ask for some chips and a bread bun because they obviously had no idea what I was on about).

So yea I think thats my Disney blog.  Im bored of writing now :]  But I shall write about Universal, Busch Gardens and New York at some point.  I’ll probably blog seperatly about Harry Potter….Oh and I need to blog Leeds Fest.  So stick with me and I’ll get round to it when my heads in the right place.

• At Scarborough everything was in a nice walking distance.  It was about 10 mins up to uni (well on my own, half an hour if I was with people).  About 10 mins down to town.  I could walk to the beach, to Peasholme Park and the most important thing…. I could walk home after a night out so I didn’t have to waste money on a taxi (apart from the rare occasions Ashlie came out and forced me to share a taxi with her claiming that she would pay then getting money off me somehow anyway). 
• I miss walking home after nights out, it sobered me up.  And in first year we used to walk along the cliffs and coz we’d been in Boudoir till they kicked us out around 6 then we got to see the sunrise all pretty like along the sea :]
• I miss being free to come and go as I like without my mam asking where I was going and who I was going with (OK so sometimes Ash acted like me mam and would question me loads to find out what I was doing – she was so bloody nosey).
• I miss being able to eat (or not) when I wanted and what I wanted.  Sometimes I would just eat cheesecake and ice cream all day and nothing else.  Sometimes I just didn’t eat at all.  Other times I ate everything in my cupboard and was still hungry.
• I miss Vivaz as crummy as it is.  Monday Klub, Midnight Club and Rock Night even though it was shit coz it only ever had like 10 people there.
• I’m going to miss people that I’m likely to never see again, even more so as I didn’t say bye to them.
• I miss the closeness of the beach even though I hardly went down this year or last year coz the weather was so shit and all my friends were being shit and then I had loads of work to do when the weather was nice.  But first year beach times were good.
• I miss the cheapness of a night out; half the time I didn’t even spend a tenner and I was gone.
• I said I missed Vivaz but lets back track to Monday Klub that I miss the most…2nd year.  Me, Lee and Antz would go to the Cask, sometimes Spoons then to Klosters and have lots of fun.  In klosters we’d meet up with Jax, Darren and the McDonalds crew and eventually end up in Vivaz.  They were good nights; often shit if Ashlie came out coz Lee would get annoyed then.
• I miss junk food, pj and dvd days.  Me and Ash would just sit in my bed and watch stuff while eating junk.  I think for 2 days straight we watched Blood Ties and fought over who ‘owned’ Kyle Schmidt.
• I miss all nighters to finish work I should have done 5 months beforehand.
• Gay I know, but I even miss the ocasional paraletic-ness.  I try not to do that here as I have to go home to my mam and dad where they have no sympathy (well my dad does a bit) and don’t let me stay in bed…Then they tend to tell the whole family that I threw up and I’m hungover.  Ashlie would just laugh at me and eventually leave me alone.
• I miss first year Thursday nights when we all used to go to the 3 B’s (Baracuda, Boleyns and then Boudoir for either crumpets or cheese on toast *nom nom*).
• I miss the need to go shopping in York just to see a decent shops.  It used to make me happy to be on the train and getting out of shitsville for the day.
• I miss the amusing trainee assistant dude in York Body Piercing Clinic.  He was fucking hillarious.
• I miss how friendly people are in the toilets on a night out in Scarborough (not in a creepy way lol).  People here don’t talk to you at all but people there were nice.  I remember me and Jax being in the loo in vivaz one monday night for about half an hour talking to this random (underage) lass.  She sent me a nice text the next day wishing me good luck in my test I had that day.
• I miss random walks with my adopted sister.  Like when we went for a walk round Peasholme Park in the dark and saw the bats, or the time we went to Falsgrave Park to see the view from the top of the hill…or when we would just sit outside somewhere after the cinema and eat pizza in the dark.
• I miss the shitty little cinemas they had where they’d get the film like a month late half the time XD
• I miss the surprisingly scary horror movie house on the sea front.
• I miss the dance zone ride and the dodgems down at the beach.
• I miss my fucking double bed!!!!!
• I miss my friends.
• I miss food of any kind from the Fish Pan (best chippy in Scarbs!).

Most of all I just miss the freedom to do what I want without playing 20 questions with my mam (my dad seems to assume that every time I go out I’ve gone to sign on lol).

Things I wont miss include:

• Freezing cold rooms in the winter (mine was the smallest though so the warmest muahaha).
• Running out of electric during the night so having to have a cold shower with torches and candles because I was refusing to top up.
• Being the only person to clean up or take the bins out.
• Incredibly slow download speeds.
• Everything being on a hill.
• The awful depressed slump I was stuck in for most of May…thank god that seems to have gone  (I still blame Ashlie as the cause of that for some reason – I think I was just sick of the sight of her).
• The lack of enough hot water to ever even attempt a bath.
• Ashlie ‘borrowing’ my dvds.

That’s all I can think of at the moment.  Depressing that over 3 years that’s all I’m going to miss the most.

Random title I know but I will get to it eventually (you’ve got to start at the beginning you know); it’s not as fun as it sounds.

The other weekend I went down to London to see my sister (well mainly coz I wanted to go to Thorpe Park).  So on the Friday I sat squished next to some dodgy bloke on the train for just over 3 hours.  I wasn’t even on the side of the train where you can see the white horse on the hill :[  but at least I had a window seat.  As soon as you got past Darlington the sun started to shine which made me happy.  It had been missing too long in my life.  The train was uneventful; I did lose my Primarni sunglasses though so had to borrow some of my sister’s all weekend (I’ve rebrought them now).

My sister told me to meet me near her work instead of heading to her flat.  She told me to take the east line.  Well that confused me for about 5 minutes as there was no east line.  Eventually I found the stop on the massive underground map and it turned out it was the overground not the east line (maybe it used to be called that).  I love the Tube.  I think if I lived in London whenever I got bored I would just travel round on the Tube all day, seeing as the oyster cards have a cap so once you spend so much you get the rest of the days travel free.  I hate the fact that you have nowhere to look except at the person opposite you though.

So eventually I got to the stop I had to get off at, it was friken boiling in my ¾’s (I had sensibly packed shorts though).  I’ve no idea where it was now, somewhere in Lewisham I think… wherever Goldsmith’s or Goldings university is (hopefully you know what place I’m on about there coz I can’t remember what it’s called but there is a Gold in it).  She was in the pub with some other teacher.  Twas nice and sunny and hot in the beer garden and she brought my drinks so that was ok too.  I’m pretty sure the pub only had like 3 seats inside even though it was pretty big – I assume that’s just a lack in my memory.  We went to pizza express in North Greenwich for tea coz we had a voucher to get a pizza for 45p if you got another one.  Though the voucher wouldn’t let us use it at the O₂ so at least I got to see a bit of Greenwich that I hadn’t seen since I went to London for the weekend in year 1.  The chefs at pizza express look like escaped convicts with their little hats and stripy t-shirts.

On the Saturday I had to get up mega early to get to waterloo for 8.15 to catch the train to Staines to get the shuttle to Thorpe Park.  My sister’s friend Mo came (he was a bit dodgy), his mate Sue and then some random lass my sister met on some random new-people-in-London-with-no-friends-yet website called PJ (don’t ask what it was short for, she was American so it was probably something weird).  Thorpe Park isn’t as impressive looking as Alton Towers – there’s no fancy house and gardens.  It just looks like Flamingo Land but with better rides.  Just looking at Stealth made me jiz in my pants – it looked so fucking awesome and I’m still annoyed I didn’t get to go on it *angry face*  I wish I’d invented that ride.

So first we went on Nemesis Inferno – it was pretty similar to the one at Alton Towers but I don’t think it had pretty pink water.  The queue for that was fine coz it was the first ride we went on.  Then we went on the Log Flume coz it was boiling already.  That was good though for some reason only my left side of my face got wet.  Then I finally convinced people to go on Saw.  Well I was like either Saw or Stealth and Saw was closer so we went on that.  90 minute queue!  PJ didn’t come on it so I’d left the bag with the food and water in it with her.  Some idiot on the tanoy kept telling us to stand in the shade…there wasn’t any in the queue coz it was meant to look like an abandoned warehouse.  Some lass fainted in the queue too.  We eventually got on, I thought it was like oblivion where the only part of the ride is the drop but it was a bit more.  The little doll thing on the tricycle said some stuff as you went past but I’ve no idea what coz I couldn’t hear him properly (I’m guessing it was stuff along the lines of “I want to play a game with you”).  There was a surprise drop in the dark then a couple of twists along the corridor to the way outside.  It sprayed us with water when we were upside down which was canny funny coz we all just went “I just got wet!”  Then you went up 180 degrees vertically so you were flat on your back going up this hill.  I had to shut my eyes for that coz I really hate going up on roller coasters and much prefer going down on them.  The drop wasn’t as good as Oblivion – I don’t think it’s as big and you don’t hover at the top.  I guess it took the picture somewhere but I’m not sure where abouts; it also videos you on the ride.  It was still an awesome ride though!

Then we went for food at some over priced place.  Then me, Mo and Sue queued for about an hour for the Live Saw thing while my sister and PJ went on Tidal Wave (the water ride where you get absolutely drenched and I would have loved to go on it in that heat but the queues were too long so I didn’t get on everything).  The Live Saw thing was kinda crap in my opinion.  I was meant to be at the back but I refused so Mo went there.  There was this wimp of a guy at the front so he kinda ruined the whole experience by taking forever to get into the next room so by the time I was in the scariness had worn off.  You have to walk through in a chain holding onto the shoulders of the person in front of you.  The actors can touch you but you can’t touch them…but they were a bit lame.  I think they were probably hot and tired by the time we went in.  Some of the rooms smelt a bit gross though so that was ok I guess.  It would have been better if the tricycle puppet popped out or if someone had a pig mask on and stalked you round.  I guess they can’t think of everything.  We were gonna go on Stealth when we got out coz my sister was still in the queue for Tidal Wave but Stealth had a 90 minute queue and it had broke down anyway (it broke down when my mate was there a few days later so I guess it brakes down a lot) so we went on The Detonator (I think that’s its name) where you just drop straight down.  You get a nice view from the top and its fun to laugh at everyone’s faces when they get to the bottom.  It only does it once though unlike the one at Flamingo Land that does it 2 or 3 times.  Stealth started working just as we were leaving.  We had to leave early coz we wanted to beat the queues to get out then we had to get back to North Greenwich to get ready to get to Clapham for my sister’s mates birthday.  So sadly I didn’t get to go on Stealth (or any of the smaller ones) but I’m planning on going back like September October time as I still have loads of 241 vouchers.  Hopefully the queues will be less.

I’m starting to get to the bit that explains the title of this whole story.  Clapham…ooo so fun.  Michelle was 22 I think, looked about 30 but never mind.  We went to her house first then to Revolution which is not as fancy inside as the one in Newcastle and the drinks are like £2 more *angry face*  £18 on 3 drinks :[  We spent the whole time in the one place, the music was a bit crap – the only song I knew was a Faithless one.  Some of Michelle’s friends were nice though so I was just dancing in the corner with them coz they didn’t seem to know half the people either.  My sister was drunk somehow – either she spent a fortune, is a lightweight, or just a good actor.  She was pissing me off though, she said we could leave when I wanted so I said I wanted to go but she was like “oh we’ll wait till Michelle goes.”  Michelle actually left at some point and we stayed till 2 when it shut.  Then we had to find a bus, the list of buses I’d been given was wrong because there’s two Revolutions in Clapham and we were at the different one.  So when I said “oh well thats not the bus I’ve got on the list” meaning well we don’t need this list anymore she went and fucking bit my head off about how she didn’t know we were going to that Revs blah blah.  So then I was a bit annoyed and didn’t really wana say anything else all night in case she took that the wrong way too.  Then when we were at the bus stop this old Irish guy that we’d been chatting to in Revs came over and was like “oh its the girls from Newcastle who aren’t from Newcastle” and she just give him the hackiest look ever and went “and you are?”  This poor bloke looked confused and I didn’t dare say anything in case she abandoned me in the middle of Clapham.  So we got on this bus and then got off at North Clapham where we walked around for ages to find the bus stop for the bus that was on my list (this was meant to be quicker than staying on the other bus).  At one point I thought I was back in Peru coz it was boiling and there was this Latino bar with Latino looking people outside trying to get us to go in and salsa sounding music inside.  We eventually found the bus stop and got the bus to Elephant and Castle.  Don’t ask why it’s called that.  All it seems to be is 2 massive roundabouts right next to each other.  Seriously, I swear they’re bigger than that one with the Arch De Triumph on in France (that’s not that big but has a lot of roads joining on to it doesn’t it?).  The only other people to get off the bus thought we were going to Ministry of Sound (well they were hoping coz they didn’t know where it was, just knew it was near the roundabout somewhere).  My sister didn’t know for sure and I had no idea where I was never mind MOS.  The roundabouts are just a series of subways for people to get from one side to the other but it’s so confusing.  I think we did a figure of eight about ten times around these roundabouts looking for where the 188 stopped.  She was like a man and refused to ask for directions.  I was hardly talking coz I was fed up and still petrified that I’d say something to piss her off and get dumped in somewhere that was currently resembling the Caribbean.  Though the stalls were closed.  My sister kept announcing that she was going to piss herself if she didn’t go to the loo.  I thought we passed many appealing looking doorways and alleys.  We finally found someone who my sister obviously deemed acceptable to ask for directions from.  Luckily she knew where the 188 stopped so we got there eventually.  I’m pretty sure it was near where we’d gotten off the other bus in the first place.  My sister eventually agreed to go to the toilet down an alley otherwise she wouldn’t last on the bus.  The bus eventually turned up and one of my sister’s flat mates was on the bus.

Finally got back to hers.  It was 4.30 am.  I’m fine coming in at that time when I’ve left the place at like 4 but when you leave somewhere at 2 you don’t really think it’s going to take 2 and a half hours to get home!  All I wanted to do was curl up and cry.  My feet really hurt too coz I had my Iron Fists on and their soles are really thin and not good for walking round and round roundabouts.

On the Sunday we went to Camden to meet 2 other people.  They were nice, can’t remember their names but I think one was called Heather and was originally from Sunderland.  It was actually the first time I finally got to go to Camden (I remember when I went to London for a weekend in year 11 to meet my sister when she got back from India, I tried to convince my mam to take me to Camden to go shopping but she wouldn’t :[  We went to Oxford street instead).  Sadly though I couldn’t even shop coz I had my rucksack on my back and it was pretty big so I didn’t fancy trying to squish through Sunday crowds and stalls.  I’d end up getting pick pocketed and knocking off loads of stuff.  Anyway we went to the posh end of Camden where all the celebs live.  We went for a picnic in Primrose Hill, opposite Jamie Olivers many houses (they were 5 stories so I dunno why he owns 2 or 3 right next to each other with the walls knocked down – I reckon one floor is just a massive kitchen).  This paparazzi dude used us a shield so he could take photos of Rachel Stevens (it took us a while to even remember who she was).  She had a nice picnic basket, you get them made up by whatever expensive company it was, I can’t remember who now but it was on the side of the basket.

I wanted to go get my photo taken at Harry Potter’s platform but I didn’t have time by the time we walked back to the Tube at Camden, realised you can only get out of it between 1 and 5 on a Sunday and not into it coz its too busy otherwise so we had to walk down to Mornington Crescent which was like 10 mins away.  Then we had to change tubes to get to Kings Cross, then I had to leave my sister to get my Oyster Card money back while I looked for my train.  This part confused the hell out of me coz it said platform 0 so I assumed that meant the platform hadn’t been announced even though the train was leaving in like 5 minutes.  So I was waiting in a massive queue to ask the information desk what platform it was, my sister either looked or found someone else to ask but it turned out there was a platform 0.  What sort of fucked up station has a platform zero?? It’s so stupid and confusing.

On the train I walked in on some African lady sorting out her big dress in the toilet coz the stupid woman hadn’t locked the door.  It was a bit embarrassing and annoying coz it then made me paranoid that I hadn’t locked the door or that it would be on a timer or something.  As soon as the train reached York then the clouds came and the sun vanished :[  I was too lazy to change so I had to freeze in my shorts.  But my dad picked me up from Gateshead so that was ok (though a bit annoying coz I was meant to be getting the bus so I’d payed for a transfer on the metro coz I didn’t want to walk past football fans in the pubs near the high level.

Then I got home and watched Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels that I’d borrowed from Hayley.  It was awesome (and not just because Jason Statham was in it) and I never want to give it back (but I will, I’m still gona see if my dad wants to watch it first though).

So yea, that was my weekend in London with the adventure at Elephant & Castle roundabout.  (It’s such a weird name, I never did find the elephant OR the castle).

Well it wasnt that shit, just mega boring.  For starters the electric was on -£12 so I had to pay loads to get enough for me to use over the weekend (though I put too much on coz I didnt stay as long as I’d planned).  Then I had to get Chris who’d came to meet me at the station to help me drag the rubbish that Ash had left in the kitchen outside.  She just had a good laugh about how I’d been there for like 5 minutes and was already moaning about everything.

I had to clean the kitchen and the bathroom so my sister wouldnt have a hissy fit when she turned up.

I got up waaay to early the next day, so even though I didnt go down to the spa till 11 I was bored within 5 minutes of being there.  Plus I was starving as it felt like years ago when I’d had breakfast.  I got robed up then queued for my photo.  I bet that turns out crap, I had an annoying twitch in my cheek from smiling fakely for so long.

I couldn’t find any friends to get photos with…oh wait.  I found Ashlie (well she found me).  My parents were still not there so I was just with my sister getting mega bored.  We took some photos outside the beach huts coz it was more sheltered and quiet there.

My mam phoned and said they were at my flat with my stuff that I’d asked her to bring down so I had to trapse back up through the gardens to mine, then up the zillions of dusty stairs…then we just went down to the Futurist where the ceremony was coz the room in the spa was being redone.  I was annoyed they’d got there so late as I wanted fish and chips before coz I was starving.  My dad give me some chocolate which didnt really help much.

…so then I was in a bad mood what with being so hungry and having to be the centre of attention for photos which I hate.

I felt like a right leper inside coz there was noone in front or behind me for ages and the nearest person was Antz like 6 seats away.  But then everyone else started coming in (they were all wet ha!).  At least I was sitting next to Jax and Lee so I had some entertainment coz Lee’s like my grandad and just constantly talks crap.

This random American guy give a dodgy speach, dont know what about coz I switched off…it was hot in the room, a bit damp off everyones wet clothes and I felt sick and dizzy and nervous.  Not good.

Then this massive group of people proccessed to the stage, with some random brass looking stick.  Oh and this little boy dressed up like a page was carrying the train on the chancelors gown thing. 

I think they did like all the drama, music and some buisness students.  Went on for ever.  Then this guy who looked like Snape talked about who was getting the honoury degree.  It was some Yorkshire man who did the film Purely Belta (along with other stuff obviously).  He talked a bit too…I think they said funny stuff but to be honest I couldnt be bothered to listen.

Eventually it was my departments turn, ours was so small that I didnt get to clap for half of us coz I was either walking the long walk to the stage or walking back.  They sorted my hood out before I went on stage but looking at the photo that was taking it appears to have fallen again.  I swear the woman who told the man what name to call told me to bow…she didnt tell anyone else so I must have looked like I wouldnt bow.  We didnt even shake hands with the Chancelor.  She picked people now and then to talk to for a bit (she picked Ashlie obviously)…Im so glad I didnt have to talk to her though. 

I got handed my certificate in an envelope (wasnt even rolled with a ribbon!) when I got off the stage.

Eventually it was done, I think someone else did a speach.  Then we were invited to sing the first verse of the national anthem (we had lyrics provided).  I don’t hold with all that stuff so I just stood there, I didnt even bother mouthing the words.  If I could have got away with it I would have stayed sitting down.  I dont know why we had to sing that seeing as Im sure the majority of people in the room where of Asian origin.  The people on stage processed off and eventually I left the room.

I didnt even go stand on the beach for photos, couldnt be bothered.  I was too hungry and fed up of my gown.  I think I saw Ash and Amy doing beach photos but I just went off for my strawberries minus cream (they didnt even have icecream!)…and shitty champagne that was really just sparkly wine.  It was £8 per person spent unwisely on my mams acount.

Amy tracked me down inside the Spa and said Ash would murder me if we didnt go for hat throwing photos; so Ash, Amy, Jax, Pippa, Chris and Me stood on a roof and through hats around.

I was thinking at one point, oh I probably wont see most people again, but at least I’ll be able to see some easier than others.  Unlike Azreen who’s going home to Malaysia.

After a zillion photos with my family (I regret the day my mam and auntie got digital cameras, now they look and say oh no lets get another one; instead of just assuming it’ll be ok) I finally got to take off the gown and stuff.  Then we went on my last ever trip to the Fish Pan (seriously one of the best chippys in Scarborough).  I thought it would be busy but the only other person I saw in there was Emily.

After that we went back to mine where my dad took delight in the Henry hoover that had been delivered as our nice hoover stoped working (I hate Henry’s!).  So he hoovered the landing which was nice.  Then me and my sister got ready for the graduation ball which was so not worth the £25 (least my mam give me the money back for that).

The ball was ok I guess, even Pippa who never goes out was there.  People didn’t wear their masks much…so I took delight in wearing my rabbit mask.  Then I dragged my sister off about 12.30 to go into town coz Jax, Manda and Antz weren’t at the ball.  So we ended up in Vivaz (so though I didnt stay for last Monday Klub at least I got my last Midnight Klub) eventually, and people from the ball turned up like Terry (I’m surprised he was at the ball actually) and Andy, Abby, Emma, Ben and Lee.  Lee had been ignoring us at the ball (according to Ash anyway) but I’m impressed that he stayed out till vivaz shut at 4 (he normaly gets bored and goes home early).

Twas a good night, got to say bye to most people…some people I didnt see out, some people I did see out but didnt talk to for some reason – and some people weren’t at graduation (or I guess Scarborough) at all even though they had deffinately graduated.  But yea, I got up early on Saturday after like 4 hours sleep and cleaned the flat with my sisters help; then handed my keys in and visited Manda’s new place (verrrry nice!) then got the train home for probably the last time in a long while.

I don’t even feel that sad though.  I get the feeling I’ll never talk to some people again but hey ho.  I do have a list of things I’ll miss that I shall blog at some point (probably when I get my laptop back, I hate the keyboard on the home pc).

In two dreams I’ve had I’ve woken up not long after it’s suddenly started snowing, acting like rain but the snow piles up thick and fast.  It’s weird though coz in my dreams I know the snow is out of season (though I think I thought it was May in my first ‘snow’ dream).

I can’t remember my first snow dream exactly, apart from it sounded like it was raining and then I woke up and it was wich freaked me out incase it was actually snowing.  I don’t really want to bore you with the details of last nights, though it did involve some sort of cursed cut on a womans finger, a robotic barmaid who kept walking round with a drink until someone took it (I don’t think anyone did, I refused to because all the bar staff had sat down and refused to serve me just because they had no lemonade left).  But there was one bit that I would like to share.

I was sitting on the ground somewhere with some people and we had to act like we suffered from glutony, but there was no actual food so we were eating air.  Then The Pretty Reckless – Make Me Wanna Die came on the little dj booth thing that was there and suddenly it was announced that they would be playing at Rebellion Festival in Blackpool (I wish!  Actually I dont because I’m sure it’s on when I’m away – I do wanna go to RF one year though).  The dj offered me two tickets for the festival (they were massive tickets!) but I couldn’t take them with me being away.  Then I saw Taylor Momsen and that’s when it started to snow. 

I went up to her and said;

“I’d ask you for a hug but you probably don’t hug people and neither do I really”.

Then she said,

“Oh you don’t hug; thank God”.  The strange thing is she looked and sounded like Amanda the receptionist from Ugly Betty (Becki Newton). 

Then I pulled out a piece of paper from my pocket, it looked like the kind of billing invoice you get when you buy offline.  I asked her to sign it.

She said,

“What’s this?”

And I said,

“The only paper I’ve got on me.”

Then she said,

“And where’s my jean pad?”  (Don’t ask what a jean pad is, I have no idea but I took it to mean one of those hardback clip folders you use when you do surveys outdoors and need something hard to rest on).  [edit- I just googled jean pad but got mouse mats made of jeans I think, so I googled gene pad and got an app for the ipad and got a mobile DNA testing thing... maybe that's what she was after LOL]

I just stared when she asked that.  Then at the same time we both said,

“In your (she said my) bag”.  I get the feeling we both looked at each other and laughed because we’d said the same thing at the same time.  But then I woke up.  The snow was still there in my dream though. 

I think I might go google what snow in dreams looks like; that reminds me I need to find a pic of that guy from sum41 with a beard … if it exists

In other news.  Got my results today, got a 2:2 altogether.  Four more marks and I would have gotten a 2:1.  I think most people were like that.

The table and chairs for the garden arrived today.  I’m impressed that I managed to drag 19.2 KG through the house and then unwrap it all and put them outside.  Very nice and blue and only £55 from Bainbridges (or John Lewis as it is now).  My mam still hasn’t told my dad yet.

It’s sunny.  I’m going to sit outside and paint my nails :]

1. I managed to find a present for Hayley for her 21st.  Hopefully she’ll like it and use it =p
2. IT’S SUNNY!!  – that makes me happy because the sun is actually there again and not hiding behind a cloud, it rained all last night and that seemed to get rid of the clouds.  I hope the sun stays a bit longer again, I need to help my tanorexia problem.
3. The summer fruits in the garden are ripening.  I hate picking all the black and red currents, they just get used for jam anyway.  I used to like the raspberries but then I made the mistake of looking inside one once and found maggots, it put me off them and now I hate picking them and I have to douse any picked in salt to kill all beasties!  But the best one is the strawberries!  They’re just starting to ripen and I’ve been watering them loads to get nice fat waterfilled juicy ones :]  yummy, I don’t even wash them half the time I just eat them straight from the plant.
4. Waterstones is rearanging.  That might not sound too great and I admit it confused me greatly yesterday when I went all the way upstairs and needed to actuall be all the way downstairs.  But it makes me happy coz now all the books I read are on the same floor – The teenage section, the sci-fi and fantasy section, the vampirey books (I think its termed dark fanatasy – I don’t actually buy them I just browse and note down titles I want from the library instead), the graphic novels (sometimes I just like to sit in the shop and read them) and the manga section.  All on the one floor now, yay!
5. I got my hair trimmed today, got rid of most the split ends.  I guess I’ll get it redone just before graduation.
6. I saw my friend Minty while in town, I don’t think I’ve seen her since college (except on facebook).  She has lilac hair now, was very nice :]

Of course their is always some disapointing doom and gloom in my life:

1. I was in Travelling Man the other week and saw that Otomen v.6 was out but I didn’t buy it coz I couldn’t afford it and I thought I’d wait a bit.  So today I went to get it but it wasn’t there…they didn’t actually have any Otomen’s :/  I couldn’t be bothered to ask if it was in the back somewhere coz to be honest I still couldn’t afford it.  I did notice they finally have Vampire Knight v.10 but I’ve read that online now coz I got so sick of waiting for it to hit the UK shops.
2. I still haven’t recieve my dole money.  I’ll check again tomorow morning but if it’s not there then I’m deffinately phoning up.  Though I’m not sure who I phone :s
3. Tomorow I get my results from uni…lets see what I’m graduating with – nothing probably =p

Hmm I think that’s it.  Oh and I decided that the anthem of my 21st birthday is going to be Enjoy Yourself by The Specials.  It would be nice if it got played for me, but even if it doesn’t I’ll just sing it to myself anyway seeing as it’s on my ipod.
